Solano Hoody Women's is a weather-protective, highly breathable shell jacket designed for everyday use, hiking and trail activities in exposed wind and variable conditions.
Impervious to wind and offers significant weather resistance with lighter weight protection.
Pair it with women’s fleece jacket for mid-layer warmth and women’s hiking pants for alpine hiking days.
Knife through exposed passes and relentless headwinds in this elevation-ready hiking shell. The two-layer GORE-TEX fabric on the body, hood, and sleeves provides focused wind protection and weather resistance without adding bulk to your worn weight. A highly breathable fabric under the arms and stretch-woven liner allow you to move naturally over scrambles and blowdown.
What's been updated: Updated with PFAS-free GORE-TEX ePE fabric and a stretch woven lining, plus a new hybrid construction, for improved breathability, stretch, and comfort. A new shorter length gives more room for your stride.
This product is free of intentionally added PFAS.
The new ePE membrane technology is lighter and thinner, but just as strong and durable as the materials we used before. You may notice the face fabric “wetting out” slightly faster in products with ePE membranes, but rest assured this does not affect the waterproofing of the membrane itself. If you notice the fabric wetting out faster than you’d like, simply wash the jacket and dry it to remove the oil contamination and bring the DWR back to its full power.

Layers are the instruments of keeping you dry, warm and using your energy efficiently. Put into the right systems, a good sequence of layers provides you with weather protection, moves moisture away from your skin, conserves or dissipates heat, and does this in the least amount of time.
Use the layering guide to select additional pieces for your system and understand how they fit together. Find out more about how to layer on our Layering Page.
