Rho Merino Wool Zip Neck Men's is a versatile lightweight base layer designed for alpine climbing and skiing, built as a lightweight layer that helps regulate thermal comfort and manage odour across changing conditions.
Textiles made from natural fibres provide inherent benefits and next-to-skin comfort.
Thermally efficient base layer with excellent moisture management properties. Has stretch comfort.
Layer it under a men’s shell jacket and pair with men’s GORE-TEX pants for skiing and touring.
Ski tours, extended backpacking trips, climbing – this is an exceptionally versatile base layer you’ll go to for anything outdoors. Made from 240gsm Merino wool, it naturally regulates thermal comfort, resists odours and static, and feels comfortable next to your skin. The 18.5-micron fibres are wrapped around a nylon core for durability. The fit keeps the wool close to your body for maximum effectiveness, elastane fibres add stretch and hold the fit, and articulated patterning gives you freedom to move.
Our trimmer fit is patterned to stay close to the body through the chest, waist, hip, and thigh. Its low profile eliminates bulk, moves with the body, and fits comfortably over first layers or under outer layers.
Note: If your measurements are between sizes, select a larger size for a looser fit or a smaller size for a tighter fit.
Note: Calculate your own body measurements, then select your product size.
1. Sleeve: With arm relaxed at your side and slightly bent, measure from centre back neck, across shoulder to elbow and down to wrist.
2. Chest: With arms relaxed at your sides, measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest
3. Waist: Measure around your waist at the narrowest part.
4. Hip: Standing with feet hip width apart, measure around your hips at the widest part.
Cut snug to the body through the entire garment to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency.
Cut slim to the body through chest, waist, hip and thigh for a low profile fit.
Cut comfortably from the body through bust/chest, waist, hip and thigh for a classic fit.
Cut loosely through the waist, hip, and thigh for a casual fit.
Layers are the instruments of keeping you dry, warm and using your energy efficiently. Put into the right systems, a good sequence of layers provides you with weather protection, moves moisture away from your skin, conserves or dissipates heat, and does this in the least amount of time.
Use the layering guide to select additional pieces for your system and understand how they fit together. Find out more about how to layer on our Layering Page.
