Rho Merino Wool Bottom Men's is a lightweight Merino wool base layer designed for alpine, climbing, and skiing and snowboarding, built as a lightweight next-to-skin layer that helps regulate thermal comfort and resist odours on multiday treks and mid-output winter days.
Allows moisture vapour to escape, helping regulate temperature and elevating comfort inside garment.
Thermally efficient base layer with excellent moisture management properties. Has stretch comfort.
Pair it with a men’s Gore-Tex jacket and men’s Gore-Tex pants for layering during ski and snowboard days.
Designed for multiday treks and mid-output winter activities, the Rho Merino Wool Bottom offers exceptional technical performance - naturally. 150gsm Merino wool, a material known for its ability to regulate thermal comfort, resist odours and static, is soft and comfortable. A nylon core adds durability. The next-to-skin fit maximizes efficiency, layers cleanly, and elastane fibres provide stretch and mobility. The ergonomic patterning and seam placement wear comfortably and give you freedom to move.
Our trimmer fit is patterned to stay close to the body through the chest, waist, hip, and thigh. Its low profile eliminates bulk, moves with the body, and fits comfortably under outer layers.
Note: If your measurements are between sizes, select a larger size for a looser fit or a smaller size for a tighter fit.
Several models of Arc'teryx pants are sized numerically and may be available in different inseam lengths. Please refer to the specific product page to see which waist size and inseam lengths are available for your product.
*For all other pants available in numerical waist sizes where the inseam length is not specified, these following inseam lengths apply.
Note: Calculate your own body measurements, then select your product size.
1. Waist: Measure around your waist at the narrowest part.
2. Hip: Standing with feet hip width apart, measure around your hips at the widest part.
3. Inseam: From a standing position, measure from your crotch down the inside leg to the floor.
Cut snug to the body through the entire garment to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency.
Cut slim to the body through chest, waist, hip and thigh for a low profile fit.
Cut comfortably from the body through bust/chest, waist, hip and thigh for a classic fit.
Cut loosely through the waist, hip, and thigh for a casual fit.
Layers are the instruments of keeping you dry, warm and using your energy efficiently. Put into the right systems, a good sequence of layers provides you with weather protection, moves moisture away from your skin, conserves or dissipates heat, and does this in the least amount of time.
Use the layering guide to select additional pieces for your system and understand how they fit together. Find out more about how to layer on our Layering Page.
