Beta Pant Men's is a lightweight, layerable shell pant designed for climbing, hiking, and trail use in wet conditions.
Versatile: high performance for diverse activities and conditions.
Waterproof, windproof and breathable textiles that offer fully protective environmental shelter.
Pair with a men’s Gore-Tex jacket and men’s hiking shoes for wet-weather hiking and approaches.
Part of what makes hikes like Tour du Mont Blanc so magical is the mystery of what’s around the bend—be it a fantastic view or sheet of rain. Luckily, the Beta Pant is here to keep you dry when you need it. The breathable, waterproof fabric allows vapor from your body to escape without letting water in. Plus, ¾-length side zips provide extra ventilation and make it easy to layer up in an unexpected storm.
What's been updated: Updated with a PFAS-free GORE-TEX ePE laminate for a lower footprint. A new simplified fly closure with a full circumference belt system, added single thigh pocket, and ¾-length side zipper deliver improved comfort and freedom of movement. An updated lower-profile hem reinforcement gives enhanced durability.
This product is free of intentionally added PFAS.
The new ePE membrane technology is lighter and thinner, but just as strong and durable as the materials we used before. You may notice the face fabric “wetting out” slightly faster in products with ePE membranes, but rest assured this does not affect the waterproofing of the membrane itself. If you notice the fabric wetting out faster than you’d like, simply wash the jacket and dry it to remove the oil contamination and bring the DWR back to its full power.
Our classic fit is cut comfortably throughout the chest, waist, hip, and thigh. It allows freedom of movement, provides shape, and layers comfortably under our regular and relaxed fit shells.
Note: If your measurements are between sizes, select a larger size for a looser fit or a smaller size for a tighter fit.
Several models of Arc'teryx pants are sized numerically and may be available in different inseam lengths. Please refer to the specific product page to see which waist size and inseam lengths are available for your product.
*For all other pants available in numerical waist sizes where the inseam length is not specified, these following inseam lengths apply.
Note: Calculate your own body measurements, then select your product size.
1. Waist: Measure around your waist at the narrowest part.
2. Hip: Standing with feet hip width apart, measure around your hips at the widest part.
3. Inseam: From a standing position, measure from your crotch down the inside leg to the floor.
Cut snug to the body through the entire garment to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency.
Cut slim to the body through chest, waist, hip and thigh for a low profile fit.
Cut comfortably from the body through bust/chest, waist, hip and thigh for a classic fit.
Cut loosely through the waist, hip, and thigh for a casual fit.
Layers are the instruments of keeping you dry, warm and using your energy efficiently. Put into the right systems, a good sequence of layers provides you with weather protection, moves moisture away from your skin, conserves or dissipates heat, and does this in the least amount of time.
Use the layering guide to select additional pieces for your system and understand how they fit together. Find out more about how to layer on our Layering Page.
