Beta AR Jacket Men's is a shell jacket designed for climbing, hiking and trail use, built as a durable, breathable, weatherproof hardshell for all-round mountain conditions.
High performance weather protection and materials, emphasizing versatility for multiple activities.
Versatile: high performance for diverse activities and conditions.
Waterproof, windproof and breathable textiles that offer fully protective environmental shelter.
Pair it with men’s Gore-Tex pants and a beanie for wet, windy days in the mountains.
From frigid winter hikes to bluebird days in the backcountry, the Beta AR Jacket rises to the challenge. Your go-to hardshell for every mountain mission, its hybrid construction holds up to snow, sleet, and strong summit winds. Ultra durable GORE-TEX PRO ePE on the yoke and arms resists abrasion, while a lighter version on the body reduces weight and bulk. The result? A fully featured jacket that delivers what you need, where you need it.
What's been updated: Updated with GORE-TEX PRO ePE fabrics, free from intentionally added PFAS. New patterning minimizes fabric waste, saving 800 metres of material—the equivalent of 400 jackets—in the production process. Enhanced fabric lamination and updated cordlocks improve durability.
Note: If your measurements are between sizes, select a larger size for a looser fit or a smaller size for a tighter fit.

Layers are the instruments of keeping you dry, warm and using your energy efficiently. Put into the right systems, a good sequence of layers provides you with weather protection, moves moisture away from your skin, conserves or dissipates heat, and does this in the least amount of time.
Use the layering guide to select additional pieces for your system and understand how they fit together. Find out more about how to layer on our Layering Page.
